Michael Collins and Fraser Bell have been developing proposals for an new Gin Distillery within a derelict hall close to Donaghadee harbour, Northern Ireland. The proposals include a visitor new tasting room for a successful local startup, along with production and storage facilities and office accommodation. A large aperture frames the still and displays the craftsmanship associated with the distillery process to passing visitors. Internally very low cost materials, and materials recycled from the production process are elevated in their status to divide spaces and add a rich textures to the interior.
