Mixed use regeneration Dumfries

Images from a recent collaboration with @oliverchapmanarchitects to design and visualise an exciting scheme for a community network involving affordable housing and maker space in the historic centre of Dumfries. New studios and cafe space are shared between a refurbished victorian tenament and its contemporary ‘twin’. Existing wynds are linked with a sunny courtyard overlooked by balconies, reminiscent of the convivial Spirit of living and working closely together in Scottish towns. The decorative masonry facade references the baroque Midsteeple building opposite. Look forward to seeing this develop!
