Sophie Tilley
I joined MCA after graduating from Newcastle University and have supported the delivery of several residential projects, from extensions to one-off houses, focusing on listed and conserved buildings. With a keen interest in building adaptation and reuse, my approach is rooted in valuing the context and constraints of a project as an enrichment of the design process.
Currently undertaking an MArch at the University of Westminster, my research concerns developing sustainable futures for living. In addition to a thesis on adaptive reuse, I am investigating the relationships between urban housing and food production and supply - linking two of my passions.
Outside the office, you'll find me cooking for family and friends or keeping active - trying to keep up with the seven years I spent coaching sports alongside my studies.
